Time is short to respond to the FCC captioning exemption petitions. Select the ones you want to respond to from the list below and click the button. The form letter (based on the National Association of the Deaf form letter) in the box will be replaced with your selections where it says []. (Most of these come from the long list at http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/DA-06-2287A1.doc. Others come from http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/dro/caption_exemptions.html, which lists exemptions. Only those that did not state "denied" or "withdrawn" or "dismissed" were added to this list). Comments sent via e-mail will be regarded by the FCC as "informal" comments that are not part of the official record, but your opinion counts just the same.
To view the petitions and letters for any of these, go to http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/ecfs/comsrch_v2.cgi and in box 1 ("Proceeding") enter 06-181. In box 10, enter the file number which is the last 4 digits - for example, in CGB-CC-0459, the file number would be 0459. (Note: Not all are in the database. Some are missing.)
Many of these, mostly churches, have already been granted exemptions by the FCC. You can select petitions either alphabetically by state, or by the category that interests you the most.|
